Hurraw! Balm launched in 2010 out of pure intent; an obsession to create the perfect balm: truly natural, vegan, made from premium raw and organic ingredients. It also had to meet some tough criteria...long lasting, not sweet, never grainy, pocket melt proof...and the list goes on.

To ensure the quality and integrity of our product, we manufacture fresh and individually pour each tube of Hurraw! balm in our dedicated NOP and EcoCert certified facility. Our priority is to make Hurraw! the finest balm available... a great product to be used by everyone regardless of lifestyle.

Sun Lip Balm (SPF15 Tangerine Chamomile)
We love the Sun. It's amazing. We believe limited, smart exposure is actually pretty o.k. for the skin. But for those long exposure times, our SPF 15 Sun Balm will give your lips the extra protection they need.

It glides on silky smooth *(and virtually clear) like our regular balms but we formulated it to be extra thick and creamy for longer staying power while out in those shining rays!

Juicy tangerine with hints of vanilla...the unique scent of roman chamomile lends a calming note. Packed full of amazing cold pressed oils to moisturize, protect and heal.

Red Raspberry Seed oil: Exceptionally high in tocopherols, this lovely oil nourishes the lips, is anti-inflammatory and proven to help in the absorbance of the Sun's rays.

Sea Buckthorn oil: Super rich and off the charts in essential fatty acids, carotenes, tocopherols, and phytosterols which are great for healing sun-damaged lips.

Pomegranate Seed oil: Deeply penetrating and an anti-oxidant powerhouse; remarkable for the outer epidermal layer of the lips.

Here's the deal with Zinc Oxide. We use non nano Zinc Oxide in our Sun Balm. Zinc Oxide is the only all natural, broad spectrum (blocks both UVA and UVB) sun screen available today. Zinc Oxide is a mineral. It protects your lips by sitting on top of them and thus, provides a physical barrier against UVA and UVB rays. It actually deflects the rays away from the skin to prevent any harm. For adequate protection it must be applied often.
As an interesting side note, to get our SPF 15 factor verified, our balm was laboratory tested on... (wait for it...) Humans!
SPF 15 only means that your skin is protected 15x's 'longer' than without the SPF 15 product. If you have very fair skin, perhaps the Sun makes you 'pink' in just 3 minutes. Therefore, an SPF 15 product would grant you 45 minutes in the Sun...BUT there are many limiting factors: Time of day? Cloud cover? Eclipse? Are you on the water (or snow) where Sun rays are more concentrated? At a high altitude where you are literally closer to the Sun? Be Sun Smart. Listen to your body. Listen to the Sun. Big brimmed hats.
*Just a few swipes of Sun balm are needed for protection, many swipes will indeed give your lips an extra white tint, which is fine too. Be sure to apply it often for protection and to keep that physical zinc barrier present.

*Due to the herbal extracts and zinc (mineral) constitutions we use in the Sun Balm, variations in colour may occur and is normal.
